On July, 1647 Masaniello was assassinated in a very conspiracy and his head was carried in triumph in the streets of Naples. Masaniello was the son of Lorenzo d’Amalfi and Antonia Gargano of Atrani, when he was a child he played in the streets of Casa Gargano near the church of Saint Maria Of Bando which belonged to his maternal grandparents. In
